Detailed Description

Attract the elusive purple martin with the Heath 6 Pack of Natural 2-Piece Purple Martin Gourds. Each gourd features an opaque almond coloring, reducing heat build-up in the warmer months of summer. These gourds are molded specifically with purple martins and their landlords in mind. The gourd is molded with a perfectly sized crescent-shaped entrance hole for the purple martin, making it difficult for starlings to enter. A molded rain guard above the entrance hole diverts rainwater away from the inside, and a drainage hole in the bottom prevents standing water. Each gourd is constructed of durable plastic and is easily assembled by simply snapping the two pieces together and securing one screw. This convenient 2-piece design allows for full cleaning access and takes up minimal storage space during the winter months.
