The Yankee Flipper Squirrel Proof Bird Feeder comes with a motor-driven, battery-powered, weight-activated perch ring that expels squirrels when they try to get at your bird seed. When a squirrel steps on the perch, a connection is made with the motor which makes the perch spin, and the squirrel is gently flipped off the feeder. The unit comes equipped with a rechargeable nickel-cadmium power stick battery and a battery charger that plugs into standard 120V wall outlets. The sturdy stainless steel wire hanger will not rust. For extra security against falls, consider attaching the Droll Yankees 18" Locking Bird Feeder Chain. The metal cap and base are accented with a forest green finish, and the cap is heavy and snug enough to keep squirrels from lifting it and stealing seed. The durable UV Stabilized Polycarbonate tube holds up to 5lbs of your choice of seed. An internal seed baffle directs seed to the ports, helping to prevent stale and wasted seed.
